We never thought they’d do it. At least not this soon.
It’s not that we’re cynical or anything but all the talk about color moving map panel mounts for the price of a mid-market navcom struck as just that, talk. (We were sure it would never happen once we caught wind of the fact that the FAA was regulating what colors the display could actually use.)
