Cockpit Fire Protection

Halon is the only practical, cost-effective option for a fire extinguisher. A 2.5-pound bottle is the best choice.


Fire extinguishers abound in type, size and firefighting agent. Avoid cheap dry chemical designs, far right, and CO2 bottles, center. Halon products, second from left, are recommended.
