Cirrus and Cessna are already offering the AmSafe system in new airplanes. STCs for the aftermarket are about to be approved.
Like everyone else in general aviation, we often pine for the technology that’s standard equipment in cars. But for reasons related to economics and the federal government, these take their time trickling down to little airplanes. One of these technologies is airbag restraint systems.
