Textron Aviation announced it is offering an avionics retrofit for its original series of CitationJet 525 aircraft, giving the enduring landmark model capabilities in line with newer Cessna jets and a potential new lease on life.
The CitationJet, introduced in 1989, certified in ’92 and first delivered in ’93, introduced a distinctive T-tail to the Citation line, which dates to the late ’60s with the Citation 500. The FAA supplemental type certificate for the upgrade includes aircraft with serial numbers 525-0001 through 525-0359.
