Ever since its FAA certification in July, 2025, customers have been snapping up the Epic E1000 AX fast enough to build a yearlong production backlog. But only now has the speedy turboprop gained complete government approval.
The Bend, Oregon-based manufacturer Epic Aircraft announced that the FAA has certified Garmin Emergency Autoland for the E1000 AX, clearing the way for the safety system’s installation in the aircraft. First unveiled at the Sun ‘n Fun trade show in April 2025, the E1000 AX was built with the Autoland hardware already installed, but not activated. Now the system is cleared for use, and comes with a unique feature in the Epic.
