Tecnam announced plans to launch its P2008JC NG trainer in the U.S. while pursuing FAR Part 23 certification in a move to make the aircraft more attractive to a broad range of Part 61 and Part 141 flight schools.
The Padua, Italy-based company said the aircraft, which received Europe’s EASA CS-23 certification earlier this year, is designed to handle the “rigorous demands of U.S. flight schools.” This latest version of the P2008, unveiled in December 2025, also strengthens Tecnam’s line of training aircraft that can take student pilots from introductory flights through advanced multiengine ratings.
