Pilots with a competitive itch in need of a good scratching have a tempting opportunity coming up in a few weeks. The annual ARC Air Derby takes place from Wednesday, September 30, through Tuesday, October 13, and registration has opened.
The event is a one-day challenge that focuses more on flying proficiency than speed, and is open to pilots around the globe. Teams decide when they want to fly and can design their own VFR routes and test their skills at flight planning, navigation, and precision at timeliness.
